Dear Resident:

Today, I announced my involvement with two great organizations. The "My Soldier" and the "Cell Phones for Soldiers" programs do what I love to do best: SUPPORT OUR TROOPS. We are now engaged in one of the biggest contested presidential campaigns in our time. Democrats and republicans are battling on the road to the White House day in and day out and we as citizens are taking sides. However, we can never lose sight of who is actually fighting our battles for us and whose side we should always be on: our men and women in uniform. I am proud to announce that my office has adopted a soldier who is one the many brave brothers, sisters,  mother and fathers who are currently serving overseas. I have spoken with him and have gained a whole new perspective on the sacrifice they make for us. I am asking you to join me in supporting this cause. My office will be collecting packaged goods for the "My Soldier" program as well as collecting old cell phones for the "Cell Phones for Soldiers" programs. I am  also encouraging families, businesses etc. to adopt a soldier with the hopes of our community adopting a WHOLE TROOP! You can drop off any items Mon - Fri 9am - 4pm or at a Town Clerk mobile location. I know if we work together we can send a message to the other side of the world that "Harrison Supports You!".
