Voting Information

Are you over 18? Are you a citizen of the United States? Will you have lived at your address for 30 days before the date of the next election?
Then you have THE RIGHT TO VOTE!

What do you have to do to be able to vote?

1. Register with the Board of Elections.
Get a voter registration form from the Town Clerk, the Board of Elections, or at Motor Vehicle offices.
Call 670-3030 for details
Fill out the form, mail it to the Board of Elections at:
25 Quarropas St, White Plains, NY 10601.
It's that simple.

NOTE: There are now 8 political parties in New York. If you wish to vote in a Primary, when the candidates are chosen for November elections, check the box opposite the name of the party of your choice. If you don't choose to vote in a Primary, then check the "I don't want to enroll in a party" box.

2. Go to the polls on Election Day
Once you are registered, the Board of Elections will send you a post card
telling you the location, in your own neighborhood, of your polling place - where
you will be voting. On Election Day, you go to that Polling Place, sign in, enter the voting booth and, in secret, cast your ballot. Voting is that simple. (Of course, deciding which candidate to vote for is sometimes not that easy.)

Registering with the Board of Elections also allows you to vote in all school elections and any town referendums.

Do you approve of your government? Local, state or national?
Or -- do you want to change it?
Either way, do speak up (vote) and make your opinion count.
In Harrison, local elections are often won or lost by less than 15 votes.
Your vote could be the deciding factor. Do register today.
