MEETING OF THE TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF HARRISON

TO BE HELD AT THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING

REPORT FROM SUPERVISOR BELMONT ON DECISIONS MADE FOLLOWING TOWN BOARD MEETING HELD ON APRIL 6, 2017

 

      1. Authorization for Gabriele Appraisal Company to appraise a property for potential acquisition for an amount of $2,500. The Funding Source is the Contingency Account. 

      2. Authorization to retain Gabriele Appraisal Company for an appraisal of an easement area condemned by the Town in an amount not to exceed $3,200.00. Funding is the Pilgrim Road Drainage District.

      3. Authorization for the Supervisor and the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a Last Chance Agreement concerning disciplinary action with a Department of Public Works employee.

 

CORRESPONDENCE AND REPORTS

 

1.   Monthly report by the Building Inspector for March 2017.

2.   Monthly report by the Receiver of Taxes for March 2017.

3.   Monthly report by the Acting Fire Marshal for March 2017.

 

PUBLIC HEARING

None

 

PERSONNEL

 

1.   Request by Library Director, Galina Chernykh, to hire Ms. Inez Auzina as a part-time clerk, at an hourly rate of $11.00 with the work week not to exceed 17.5 hours, effective April 24, 2017.

 

ACTIONS AND RESOLUTION

 

1.   Request by Harrison resident, Lisa LaManna, to hold a block party on July 22nd, 2017 (rain date August 5th) on Baltusrol Drive from the beginning to the end of the cul-da-sac from 1PM to 10PM. Further request that the fee be waived. Insurance will be submitted.   

 

2.   Request by Town Attorney, Frank Allegretti, to enter into an Inter-Municipal Agreement between the County of Westchester Department of Safety and Town and Village of Harrison for RICI System (Repository for Integrated Criminalistic Information) for a 5 year term commencing on May 31, 2017. The Agreement has been reviewed and deemed in order. Further request that the Supervisor execute the Agreement.

 

3.   Request by Comptroller, Maureen MacKenzie, for approval to attend the Federal Equitable Sharing Training Session on April 25, 2017 at College Point Police Academy, College Point, NY. The training session is free of charge. 

 

4.   Request by John Balsamo of the Knights of Columbus for authorization to hold a procession for their organization and parishioners on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 7:00 PM commencing at the Knights of Columbus Hall (intersection of Halstead Avenue and West Street) and ending at St. Gregory’s Church. Further request the services of the Harrison Police Department.

 

5.   Request by Superintendent of Recreation, Gerry Salvo, for approval to attend the National Recreation and Parks Association Annual Conference & Exposition on September 26-29, 2017 to be held in New Orleans, Louisiana at a cost for registration and travel expenses not to exceed $1,775.00. This is a budgeted item.

 

6.   Request by Superintendent of Recreation, Gerry Salvo, for authorization to accept a donation of $1,000.00 from The Harrison Youth Soccer Club.

 

7.   Request by the Purchasing Department and Superintendent of Recreation Gerry Salvo’s recommendation to award the bid for Recreation Bus Services to County Coach Corp. located at 30 Nursery Lane, Rye, NY 10580.  

 

8.   Request by the Purchasing Department and Town Engineer Michael Amodeo’s recommendation to award the bid for Ma Riis Park Playground Improvements – Phase 2A to Pat Corsetti, Inc., Fenimore Road, Mamaroneck, at a total bid price of $188,028.25. Funding is available in the Subdivision Recreation Fund, account # 081-7020-100-7026. Further request the Law Department to prepare the contract and the Supervisor to execute the same. Further request the Comptroller upon receipt of claims to audit and upon audit the Supervisor to pay the same.
