REPORT FROM SUPERVISOR BELMONT ON DECISIONS MADE FOLLOWING TOWN BOARD MEETING HELD ON MARCH 23, 2017

 

1.   Authorization to terminate employment of Firefighter Joseph Lepino pursuant to section 71 of the Civil Service Law, effective immediately.

2.   Authorization to settle the claim in the matter of Gonzales v. Town of Harrison in the amount of $1,859.12.

PUBLIC HEARING

 

1.   Public hearing RE: 106/108/110 Corporate Park Drive Petition for Zoning Amendment (Wegmans Food Market).

2.   Public hearing RE: Special Exception Use Permit for 307 Halstead Ave.

 

PERSONNEL

 

1.   Request by Library Director, Galina Chernykh, to hire Mrs. Donna L. Pesce as a full time Librarian I, at an annual salary of $50,598.45, effective April 17th, 2017.

2.   Request by Personnel Manager, Debra Scocchera, for approval of an application for 207a benefits from Raymond Colasacco III who was injured at a fire call on March 4th, 2017. He was out of work since March 15th and was cleared to return on March 27th, 2017.

ACTIONS AND RESOLUTION

 

1.   Request by Seth Mandelbaum of McCullough, Goldberger & Staudt, LLP, for authorization of an additional 90 day extension, until August 3, 2017 of a Final Special Exception Use Permit Application for 3040 Westchester Avenue.

 

2.   Request by Rabbi Eytan Hammerman, of the Jewish Community Center of Harrison, for authorization to use the mobile stage for a concert to be hosted on Wednesday, June 7th at 2 Century Trail.

 

3.  Request by Director of Community Services, Nina Marraccini, for authorization to accept the following donation for the Harrison Food Pantry:                           $131.00 from the Jewish Community Center of Harrison

                                $128.00 from a collection box at Pizza 2000

                                           $50.00 from Harrison Presbyterian Church

 

4.   Request by Superintendent of Recreation, Gerry Salvo, to authorize the use of the mobile stage for an event being held by Rye Recreation on Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Rye Recreation Park, 281 Midland Road. Insurance will be submitted.        

 

5.   Request by James Staudt, of McCullough, Goldberger & Staudt, LLP, for a ninety (90) day extension, until July 26, 2017, of Final Special Exception Use Permit Application for 526-530 Anderson Hill Road, Purchase.

 

6.   Request by Assessor, Mark Heinbockel, for approval to attend a 2 day seminar on Solar Panel valuation. The cost of the seminar will not exceed $750.00 and is a budgeted item that will satisfy the annual educational requirements set forth by the State of New York.

 

7.   Request by Supervisor Belmont to establish, under Chapter 198 entitled Secondhand Dealers of the Town Code, an application fee in the amount of $200.00.

 

8.   Request by Comptroller, Maureen MacKenzie, for authorization for purchasing employees Gail Frohlich and Opal McLean-Douglas, to attend the New York State Association of Municipal Purchasing Officials (SAMPO) annual conference in Albany, NY from May 2 through May 5, 2017. The cost is not to exceed $1,400.00 and funds are available in budget line item 001-1345-100-0406.

 

9.   Request by Town Engineer, Michael Amodeo, to confirm Engineering Department recommendations related to the proposed construction of a new house located within a flood plain at 43-45 Ellsworth Avenue.

 

10. Request by Court Clerk, Jacqueline Ricciardi, for authorization to accept the results from the audit performed by O’Connor Davies, LLP of Cash Receipts, Cash Disbursements and Cash Balances of Justice Court Accounts for the calendar year ending December 31, 2016.
