Mayor's Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Administers the daily functions of Town business, overseeing the work of all department heads.
• Communicates with local, State and Federal agencies on matters relating to Town government.

Legislative Functions

• Presides over meetings of the Town Board and is one of its five voting members.
• Proposes legislation and makes policy decisions that directly affect residents.

Fiscal Duties

• Acts as Treasurer and Chief Fiscal Officer of the Town.
• Works with the Town Comptroller to prepare and present the initial draft of the annual budget.
