A.  REPORT FROM SUPERVISOR BELMONT ON DECISIONS MADE AFTER THE TOWN BOARD RECONVENED FROM EXECUTIVE SESSION ON MAY 1, 2014

 

1.Authorization for the Supervisor and the Chief of Police to execute a Last Chance Employment Agreement.

2.Authorization for the Supervisor to execute the Memorandum of Agreement with Civil Service Employee Association, Local, 1000, pending final approval from the Law Department and ratification by the Union.

3.Authorization to raise cap on legal fees in the matter of Gentile v. Town of Harrison to $75,000.

4.Authorization to settle claim in the matter of Ensign v. Town of Harrison in the amount of $487.47 subject to the Claimant signing a General Release.

5.Authorization to settle claim in the matter of Allstate Insurance Company a.s.o. Capillo v. Town of Harrison in the amount of $21, 402.06.

C.  PUBLIC HEARING:

 

1.PUBLIC HEARING CONTINUATION Re: Chapter 169 “Landlord Registry”

 

2.PUBLIC HEARING Re: Lincoln Lane Drainage District (postponed).

 

D.  PERSONNEL:

 

1.Request by Personnel Manager Debra Scocchera for approval of additions to the Recreation – Camp Season Part Time availability list, effective June 1, 2014.

 

2.Request by Chief of Police Anthony Marraccini for authorization for Josephine Corso and Darlene Tucci to take the Notary Public Training Course on Tuesday May 20, 2014 being held from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Hotel Penn, 401 Seventh Avenue in New York City. The Cost of the training and exam per person is $154, which should be reimbursed upon successful completion of the training and exam. Further, funding is available in School Account 001-3120-100-0415.

3.Request by Personnel Manager Debra Scocchera to add Sabrina Forgione to the Part Time Availability list at an hourly rate of $10.00, effective immediately. 

E.  ACTIONS AND RESOLUTIONS:

 

1.Request by Joseph Bilotto Chief Operating Officer for Harrison EMS for approval for their third installment payment of $137,500 (no backup).

 

2.Notification by Reverend Christopher Monturo on behalf of the Church of St. Anthony’s of their 7th Annual Blue Mass on Saturday May 31, 2014 at 5:00 PM. The Blue Mass is held to show appreciation toward the Police Department, Fire Departments and Civic Officials of our community.

 

3.Request by Building Inspector Robert Fitzsimmons on behalf of the ALS Association of Greater New York for approval of a Special Event Permit for their Annual Charity Walk on Saturday June 14, 2014 at Manhattanville College. Further request the services of the Police Department and the Ambulance Corps. Further request that the permit fee be waived.

 

4.Authorization to amend Town Board Resolution 2014 - - 175 to review and the Supervisor to sign the Standard Owner/Architect Agreement for renovations to Harrison Fire District #2. The Resolution to include Agreement amount of $9,650 and include funding is available in Account Number 011-3411-100-0407 Special Services.

 

5.Request by Supervisor Belmont for approval for the Town’s annual Fireworks Display on Friday July 4, 2014 at 9:00 PM at Halstead and Oakland Avenues. Rain Date of July 5, 2014.

 

6.Request by Rory Godfrey, of the Apawamis Club for approval to hold their annual fireworks display on July 4, 2014, with a rain date of July 5, 2014, on the Club grounds, subject to approval by the Town Clerk, the Acting Fire Marshal and the Chief of Police.

 

7.Request by Building Inspector Robert Fitzsimmons on behalf of PepsiCo Inc for approval of a Special Event Permit for their annual Corporate Event on Thursday June 5, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 11:30 PM,on the back lawn at PepsiCo Headquarters, 700 Anderson Hill Road, Purchase, NY 10577. Further request the services of the Harrison Police Department and the Harrison Ambulance Corps.

 

8.Request by Deputy Village Attorney Chris Cipolla for approval to reset a date of June 5, 2014 for a Public Hearing Re: Lincoln Lane Drainage District.

 

9.Request by Eric Opdyke, Race Director for Jarden Westchester Triathlon, for approval to use Harrison’s roadways on Sunday September 21, 2014. Police Officers are required at 25 posts during the bike portion of the Triathlon.

 

10.Request by Superintendent of Recreation Gerry Salvo for authorization to accept a donation in the amount of $1,000 from The Joseph Acocella Jr. Memorial Fund to improve the storage facility at Veteran’s Memorial Park.

11.Request by Chief of Police Anthony Marraccini for approval for Fuji TV Film Production to film at Police Headquarters for the Japanese TV Film “Hudson” on Saturday, May 25, 2014. Further requested for approval to accept a donation from Fuji TV Film Production “Hudson” in the amount of $2,500 to be ear marked for spending at the Chief’s discretion.

12.Request by Grucci Fireworks on behalf of the Westchester Country Club to hold a 10 minute firework display on the country club grounds on June 7. 2014 at 9:00 PM for a private event. Subject to approval by the Town Clerk, the Acting Fire Marshal and the Chief of Police.

Late Item:

13.Request by Superintendent of Recreation Gerry Salvo for approval to purchase and install a new sprinkler system for the ball field at the Harrison Avenue School. Money for this project will come from the Recreation Sub-Division Account. This project will not $9885.00.
