A. REPORT FROM SUPERVISOR BELMONT ON DECISIONS MADE FOLLOWING TOWN BOARD MEETING HELD ON JANUARY 17, 2013.
1. Authorization to add Domenick Cianci to the part time availability list at the town garage.
2. Appointment of Frank Pugliatti as a School Crossing Guard.
3. Appointment of Carl Narvesen and Robert Hassett as Special Patrolmen effective immediately.
4. Authorization for Carl Narvesen, Robert Hassett and Joseph Mazzullo to attend Peace Officer Training School.
5. Authorization to add Leith Bornstein, Marcos DeMelo and Leonard Williams to the part time availability list at the Harrison Police Department.
6. Authorization to approve the modified proposal with Harbridge Consulting Group for the Peer Municipality Benefit and Compensation Comparison.
B. CORRESPONDENCE AND REPORTS:
1a. Monthly reports by the Commissioner of Public Works for November and December 2012.
1b. Monthly report by the Building Inspector for December 2012.
1c. Monthly report by the New Rochelle Humane Society for December 2012.
1d. 2012 Annual Recreation Department Program Report.
C. PUBLIC HEARING:
None
D. PERSONNEL:
1. Request by Commissioner of Public Works Anthony Robinson for authorization to hire one (1) part time employee in the GTB division of the DPW, effective February 11, 2013 at a rate of $11 per hour. Further, funding is available in the GTB 2013 Operating Budget.
2. Request by Superintendent of Recreation Gerry Salvo for approval for the additions to the Recreation Part Time availability list.
3. Request by Chief of Police Anthony Marraccini for authorization for P.O. Richard Abbate to attend the School Resource Officer Course at Monroe Community College from February 18th through February 22, 2013, at a cost, including travel expenses, not to exceed $2,000. Further, funding is available in the Schooling Budget Line 001-3120-100-0415.
E. ACTIONS AND RESOLUTIONS:
1. Request by Comptroller Maureen MacKenzie for approval for a budget transfer.
4. Request by Stu Rudnick, Board Member of the Westchester National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) for approval to install white ribbons on Town trees and light posts, during the month of May 2013 in an effort to bring attention to mental health awareness and the related 5K Walk being held on May 18th in Rye, NY.
5. Request by Superintendent of Recreation Gerry Salvo for authorization to operate two wading pools, two swimming pools and one plunge pool located in West Harrison Park and Bernie Guagnini Brentwood Park. Further requested is authorization to pay permit fees to the Westchester County Department of Health in the amount of $1,935. This is a budgeted item.
