A.  REPORT FROM MAYOR BELMONT ON DECISIONS MADE AFTER THE VILLAGE BOARD RECONVENED FROM EXECUTIVE SESSION ON JANUARY 22, 2015

E.  ACTIONS AND RESOLUTIONS:

1.Request by Village Engineer Michael Amodeo for authorization to enter into a Professional Services Contract with Dolph Rotfeld Engineering for work related to the design of stormwater improvements at the Organic Yard Waste Transfer Station at the NYSDOT property on New King Street at a cost not to exceed $10,000.00. These improvements are being required by the NYCDEP. Further authorization is requested for the Commissioner of Public Works to execute the proposal upon review and approval by the Law Department. Further request for authorization for the Purchasing Department to issue a purchase order to Dolph Rotfeld Engineering in an amount not to exceed $10,000.00. Funding for this contract is available in Capital Account #14HW11.

 

2.Request by Village Engineer Michael Amodeo for authorization to reject all bids received for the construction of an Emergency Operations Center at Police Headquarters as all bids received were well above the construction estimate.

3.Request by Chief of Police Anthony Marraccini for authorization to amend section 38-47 of the Vehicle and Traffic Section of the Village of Harrison for Stop Signs at the following intersections:

 

 

Further request to modify the No Parking restrictions on Forest Lake Drive and Dawson Court and the section 38-52 of the V.T.O. be amended:

 

                                    FROM: No parking on Forest Lake Drive

                                    TO: No parking in the North Side of Forest Lake Drive from                                              Stonewall Court to Park Lane and to remove the No Parking                                               restrictions on both sides of Dawson Court.

 

4.Request by Chief of Police Anthony Marraccini for authorization to install stop signs at the following locations which are currently two-way stop sign intersections:

 

 

Further request to rescind Vehicle and Traffic Section Code 38-47 where it states that there should be a stop sign at Old Lyme North at the intersection of Yarmouth. The stop sign isn’t necessary and it was never installed.
