- ACTIONS AND RESOLUTION:
1. Request by Commissioner of Public Works Anthony Robinson for approval of the Award of Bid Recommendation for the Emergency Reroofing and Related Work at the Mintzer Center to J. Salvatore and Sons Inc., 1187 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers, New York 10704 at a net bid price of $389,000.00. Included in this price is a base bid of $289,000.00 and an allowance for unknown contingencies of $100,000.00. Funding is available as follows:
Capital Account 14GB10 $100,000.00
Fund Balance $289,000.00
Further authorization is requested for the Law Department to expedite the preparation and execution of the contract, as we are on a strict construction deadline. Authorization is requested for the Purchasing Department to issue a purchase order to J. Salvatore and Sons, Inc. at an amount not to exceed $389,000.00.
2. Request by Commissioner of Public Works Anthony Robinson for authorization for funding in the amount of $355,000.00 for the purchase of road salt. This funding will be allocated in the 2016 DPW operating budget. We are able to purchase salt now under the New York State Office of General Services (NYSOGS) Contract and participate in the contract’s Optional Delayed Billing Program.
