For quite some time, parking congestion has been a problem in the West Harrison section of the Town/Village of Harrison. Because this section of Harrison is directly adjacent to the City of White Plains, City residents, visitors, and commuters using the White Plains Metro North Train Station have long utilized the streets of West Harrison as a means of more advantageous parking. Consequently, homeowners and tenants of the area have faced growing hardships in finding on-street parking, where a shortage would not usually exist without the overabundance of out-of-town vehicles appropriating those spaces. This has now expanded into a problem with overnight parking as well.

After several months of back and forth with some of our state elected officials, who also agree this has become quite an issue, we've requested NYS legislators review the furtherance of our proposed residential parking system to expand the Town/Village of Harrison's residential parking system to West Harrison. The lack of parking is not only affecting residents’ quality of life when parking is scarce throughout neighborhoods, but it's also impacting the overall safety of our West Harrison residents. Signing the petition calls on the State Senate and Assembly to act.

Please sign the petition below and show your support to our NYS Assembly to approve our request to combat the growing parking hardship in our West Harrison community.
