INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

**Please do not use this form unless you have been directed to do so by a clerk at the Harrison Town Court. Filling out this form without the benefit of speaking with a clerk may actually delay the processing of your matter and can result in it taking longer than otherwise necessary to resolve a suspension or pending suspension.**

You will be asked to enter a plea of either guilty or not guilty to traffic infractions on the docket/case below. Please note that if you received multiple tickets at the same stop, you must plead either guilty or not guilty to the entire case. This web service cannot be utilized to enter individualized pleas per infraction. Please call the Court for more information if you would like to enter a mixed plea (for example, "guilty" to one infraction and "not guilty" to another infraction) on a case arising out of the same stop/arrest.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING STATEMENTS CAREFULLY

If you are entering a plea of Not Guilty, you will be required to appear before the Court at a date that the Court determines to answer to the above-entered charge at a Pre-Trial Conference.

If you are entering a plea of Guilty, a Harrison Town Justice (Judge) will review your submission and assess a fine and mandatory surcharge. You will be invoiced for the total amount due at the address you entered above. Additionally, please take notice of the following statement: "A plea of guilty to this charge is equivalent to a conviction after trial. If you are convicted, not only will you be liable to a penalty, but in addition your license to drive a motor vehicle or motorcycle, and your certificate of registration, if any, are subject to suspension and revocation as prescribed by law."

Please completely fill out the information below to begin the process of resolving a suspended license or privilege to operate a motor vehicle in the State of New York. The suspension must stem from a uniform traffic ticket returnable in this Court that subsequently went unanswered.

SUSPENSION TERMINATION FEES

If your license or privilege to operate a motor vehicle in the State of New York has gone into suspension, the Court is required to collect a mandatory $70.00 Scofflaw/Suspension Termination Fee PER INFRACTION. After you submit this form, you will be redirected to a confirmation page with a link to nCourt, the Harrison Town Court's approved payment vendor for fine/surcharge/fee payments. Please note that if you are suspended, the Court MUST receive this form and any applicable suspension termination fees or your suspension will not be rescinded.

If you are a non-New York motorist, please note that your privilege to operate a motor vehicle in New York will often proceed to suspension PRIOR to your home state notifying you of a pending suspension in your home/licensing state. As such, you may very well be suspended in New York even if you are responding to the Court PRIOR to your licensing state's suspension effective date. If this is the case, you will need to pay suspension fees to this Court regardless of the fact that you may not yet be suspended in your state of licensure.

If you have any questions pertaining to the amount of suspension termination fees owed, if any, please contact the Court during normal business hours.

I certify that I have read and understand the above printed instructions.
