A.        REPORT FROM SUPERVISOR BELMONT ON DECISIONS MADE
FOLLOWING TOWN BOARD MEETING HELD ON, MAY 2, 2013.
            1.         Authorization to increase the rate of pay for Diana Smoyver to $15 per hour,
effective immediately.

            2.         Authorization to re-appoint Mark Heinbockel to the position of Assessor for a six year term beginning October 1, 2013 ending September 30, 2019.

B.        CORRESPONDENCE AND REPORTS:
            1a.       Monthly report by the Town Clerk for April 2013.
            1b.       Monthly report by the Receiver of Taxes for April 2013.
            1c.       Monthly report by the Building Inspector for April 2013.
            1d.       Monthly report by the Acting Fire Marshal for April 2013.
            1e.       Monthly report by the Superintendent of Recreation for April 2013.
            1f.        Monthly report by the Chief of Police for April 2013.

            2.         The Town of Harrison accepts the Final Draft Generic Impact Statement for the Town of Mamaroneck, B and SB Zoning Text and Map Amendments, from BFJ Planning, Inc. (No backup)

 

C.        PUBLIC HEARING:
            None

D.        PERSONNEL:
            1.         Request by Town Engineer Michael Amodeo for approval for himself and Frank Balbi to attend the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Erosion and Sediment Control course on June 27, 2013 at a cost not to exceed $100 per person. This is a requirement by NYSDEC.  Further, funding is available in the Engineering Department Operating Budget account #001-1440-100-0415.

           2a.       Request for approval for Zoning Board Chairman Mark Fisher to attend Westchester Municipal Planning Federation 2013 Land Use Training Institute on May 16, 2013, at a cot of $20.

            2b.       Request for approval for Zoning Board Member Paul Katz to attend Westchester Municipal Planning Federation 2013 Land Use Training Institute on May 16, 2013, at a cot of $20.

            2c.       Request for approval for Planning Board Member Raymond Kraus to attend Westchester Municipal Planning Federation 2013 Land Use Training Institute on May 16, 2013, at a cot of $20.
      

           3.         Request for approval for Ron Capasso to be replacement back-up for all Board meetings held in the Municipal Building at an hourly rate of $18.50 for the year 2013. (No back up)

            4.         Request by Assessor Mark Heinbockel for approval to attend the New York State Assessor’s Association seminar being held at Cornell University, Ithaca, NY from July 15, 2013 through July 19, 2013 at a cost not to exceed $1,250.

ITEM 5.         Letter of retirement from Ralph Attilio, General Repairer in Department of Public Works, effective June 1, 2013.

 

E.         ACTIONS AND RESOLUTIONS:
            1.         Request by Burton Ward, General Manager of Century Country Club for approval to hold their annual fireworks display on Thursday, July 4, 2013 with a rain date of Sunday, September 1, 2013, on club grounds, subject to approval by the Town Clerk, the Acting Fire Marshal and the Chief of Police. Further requested that the Purchase Fire Department and the Harrison EMS standby.       

           2.          Request by Superintendent of Recreation for authorization to accept the following donations in the amount of $100 per merchant for the 2013 Summer Concert Series:  Al Dente Restaurant; Great Wall China; Harrison Wine Vault; Harrison-Mamaroneck Rotary; Monica Chimes Floral; Murray’s Ice Cream; Silver Lake Café Grill; Silver Lake Pizza; Silver Lake Service and Trevi Ristorante

ITEM: 3.         Request by Paul Herrick, Rabin Panero & Herrick, Esqs. on behalf of his client Congregation Emanu-El of Westchester for approval to set the date of June 6, 2013 for a Public Hearing for Special Exception Use Permit to construct a sign monument which they plan to place in the front yard facing Westchester Ave.  (Planning Board and ARB Board Approval has been granted).
