Announcement of 2022 Citizen of the Year

A. REPORT FROM SUPERVISOR DIONISIO ON DECISIONS MADE FOLLOWING TOWN BOARD MEETING HELD ON SEPTEMBER 20, 2022

1. Authorization to pay Christopher Park an additional Stipend of $15,000 for additional duties in 2022 and pay a $35,000 Stipend per year going forward.

2. Authorization to approve the probational hire of Amanda Defonce as a Personnel Clerk at an annual salary of $62,719.00, effective October 11, 2022.

3. Authorization to settle the Tax Certiorari in the matter of 244 Westchester Ave, Block 692, Lot 5.

4. Authorization to settle the Claim in the matter of Progressive Insurance Company A/S/O Jorge Tenesaca-Mendia, in the amount of $5,108.36, subject to receipt pf a fully executed general release and Stipulation of Discontinuance.

5. Authorize Counsel for the Town/Village of Harrison to execute the Consent Order pursuant to settling the matter of Save the Sound.

B. CORRESPONDENCE AND REPORTS

1. Monthly report by the Department of Public Works for the month of September, 2022.

D. PERSONNEL

1. Request by, Personnel Manager, to hire Vincent Squillante as an Alternate Crossing Guard at the hourly rate of $20.70. The applicant has completed all Civil Service Application process and approval procedure.

E. ACTIONS AND RESOLUTION

1. Request by, Director of Community Services, to accept the following donations for the Harrison Food Pantry:

  • $150.00 from the Columbiettes Auxiliary #2579
  • $28.64 from Thomas DeBourcy (via Paypal 9/25)

2. Request by, Harrison Resident, William Strobel, to hold a Halloween Block Party for the school age children of the Sunnyridge community on October 31, 2022 from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM and to close off ighhigHighfield Road between Crawford and Bates Road. Insurance will be submitted.

3. Request by, Deputy Village Attorney, Andrea C. Rendo, to execute the application with Westchester County Department of Health, pursuant to transferring the registration of the Petroleum Bulk Storage Tanks from Willow Ridge Country Club, to Harrison Meadows Country Club. Funding for the registration fees available in Troon’s operating budget.

4. Request by, Court Clerk, Jacqueline Ricciardi, for approval for Town Justice, Daniel D. Angiolillo, to attend the New York State Magistrates Association Conference  from October 31 to November 1, 2022 in Saratoga Springs, New York. The total cost for the Judges attendance at the conference is not expected to exceed $1,500.00.

5. Request by, the Department of Public Works General Foreman, Christopher Park, for the Purchasing Department to issue a Purchase Order, payable to Ken Fusco Contracting, at a cost not to exceed $30,400.00 for emergency work to repair shelter at Veterans Park. Funding for this emergency work is available in the Subdivision Rec Fees Expense Account #081-7020-100-7026.

6. Request by, the Department of Public Works General Foreman, Christopher Park, to hire up to 15 seasonal employees in the Highway Department at a rate of $15.00 per hour, effective, October 24, 2022. Funding for these positions is available in Highway Department Operating Budget, account #003-5142-100-0172.
