A. REPORT FROM SUPERVISOR BELMONT ON DECISIONS MADE FOLLOWING TOWN BOARD MEETING HELD ON JANUARY 7, 2021

 

  1. Authorization to increase the overtime budget by $3,000 of the Planning Board Secretary, Rosemarie Cusumano.
  2. Authorization to settle the tax certiorari in the matter of Boxwood Lane Owners LLC, 17 Boxwood Lane.
  3. Authorization to accept the notification, for the newly elected 2021 Chief of Fire District #2, Ralph Straface.
  4. Authorization to accept the notification, for the newly elected 2021 First Assistant Chief of Fire District #2, Vito Faga Jr. 
  5. Authorization to accept the notification, for the newly elected 2021 Second Assistant Chief of Fire District #2, Henry Mohr.

E. ACTIONS AND RESOLUTION

1. Request by First Assistant Chief, Vito Faga Jr., to hire Ed Ladden, State Fire Instructor, as a consultant for in-house training for Fire District #2, at a cost not to exceed $40 per hour.

2. Request by Director of Community Services, Nina Marraccini, to accept the following donations made to the Harrison Food Pantry via PayPal:

  • $96.8 from Joseph Derwin
  • $96.8 from Lauren Leader-Chivee
  • $96.8 from William Waddell
  • $23.97 from Ann Paprocki

            Total: $314.37

 

3. Request by Village Attorney, Jonathan Kraut, to approve a proposed Irrevocable Offer of Dedication in connection with 33 Stratford Road Amended Subdivision. If approved, a fifteen foot-wide portion of the Subject’s property frontage along Stratford Road would be dedicated to the Town of Harrison for the purposes of roadway improvements, subject to the property owner being granted ingress and egress over said dedicated portion. The document has been reviewed by the Law Department and Town Engineer. Further request that the Supervisor execute the Irrevocable Offer of Dedication TP-584 transfer document.

 

4. Request by Village Attorney, Jonathan Kraut, on behalf of David Steinmetz, Esq., with the firm of Zarin & Steinmetz, to approve a PILOT Agreement between his client, 3 WPD Apartments, LLC, and the Town and Village of Harrison. Further request that the Supervisor execute the Agreement, subject to final review by the Town Assessor and Law Department.

 

5. Request by Chief of Police, John Vasta, to register 1 Police Officer for the State of New York Police Juvenile Officers Association- Basic Juvenile Police Officer Course from March 22-26, 2021 at the Westchester County Police Academy in Valhalla, at a total cost of $200. This is a budgeted item and the funds are available in Schooling Budget Line 001-3120-100-0415.

 

6. Request by Chief of Police, John Vasta, to register 2 Police Officers for the 46th Annual Juvenile Officer Conference and Continuing Education Workshop presented by the State of New York Police Juvenile Officers Association, Inc., from August 30-September 3, 2021 at the Fort William Henry Hotel and Conference Center in Lake George, at a total cost of $2,976.00. This is a budgeted item and the funds are available in Schooling Budget Line 001-3120-100-0415.

 

7. Request by Chief of Police, John Vasta, to accept a donation made to the Harrison Police Department of $100.00 from Cindy K. Weissman, a grant made at the recommendation of the Cindy Kabak Weissman Giving Account, which is a donor-advised fund. This check should be deposited in the Police Donation Account 009-0000-786-0000 and should be utilized for spending at the discretion of the Chief of Police.

 

8. Request by Chief of Police, John Vasta, to accept a donation made to the Harrison Police Department of $500.00 from Jonathan Hoff, a grant made at the recommendation of the Jonathan and Judy Hoff Charitable Gift Fund, which is a donor-advised fund. This check should be deposited in the Police Donation Account 009-0000-786-0000 and should be utilized for spending at the discretion of the Chief of Police.
