THE 2017 HOLIDAY PROJECT

REPORT FROM SUPERVISOR BELMONT ON DECISIONS MADE

FOLLOWING TOWN BOARD MEETING HELD ON NOVEMBER 2, 2017.

1. Authorization to issue a 30 day Notice of Termination to a Police Officer, pursuant to Section 71 of the Civil Service Law.

2. Authorization to pay Florinda Broderick a stipend of $1,800.00 for extra duties and responsibilities associated with the Department of Public Works.

1. Monthly report by the Town Clerk for October 2017.

2. Monthly report by the Building Inspector for October 2017.

3. Monthly report by the Acting Fire Marshal for October 2017.

4. Monthly report by the Chief of Police for October 2017.

5. Monthly report by the Superintendent of Recreation for October 2017.

PUBLIC HEARING

PERSONNEL

1. Request by Library Director, Galina Chernykh, to provisionally hire Giovanna Fiorino-Iannace as a full-time Librarian I, at an annual salary of $50,723.00, effective November 24^th, 2017.

2. Withdrawn.

3. Request by Library Director, Galina Chernykh, to hire Julia Pissareva as a part-time Sunday page, at an hourly rate of $10.00 with a work week not to exceed 17.5 hours, effective November 19, 2017. \

ACTIONS AND RESOLUTION

1. Request by Supervisor Belmont for authorization to accept the following donations from the Harrison Japanese Festival to various Harrison public organizations:

Harrison Public Library $1,650.00

Harrison Recreation Center $1,200.00

Harrison Police Association $500.00

Harrison Fire Department $500.00

Harrison Emergency Service $300.00

Total Donation Amount: $4,150.00

2. Request by Comptroller, Maureen MacKenzie, for approval of the following Budget Transfer in the Library Department.

Increase:

002-7410-100-0210 10,000

Library--Furniture and Furnishing

Decrease:

002-7410-100-0475 10,000

Library-Westchester Library System

This transfer is in order to pay for pre-teen area furnishing

4. Request by James Carnavalla to schedule a public hearing regarding a Special Exception Use Permit for 197-203 Harrison Avenue.

5. Request by Town Engineer, Michael Amodeo, for approval to attend a continuing education seminar titled Pond and Lake Management on December 7, 2017 at the Westchester County Center at a cost not to exceed $45.00. This is a budgeted item.

6. Request by Supervisor Belmont for authorization for additional increase in salary for specific management personnel of .25%. This increase is to conform with CSEA contract on which the original salary increases for 2017 were based. Backup to follow.

7. Request by Town Engineer, Michael Amodeo, for approval to transfer $79,609.00 from the Engineering Department Salaries – 001-1440-100-0102 to Engineering Department Special Services – 001-1440-100-0407. The transfer of these funds will enable the Department to complete some additional small scale improvement projects without having to request additional funding.

8. Request by Comptroller, Maureen MacKenzie, for authorization to accpe the following donations for the Holiday Project:
