PRESENTATION BY THE KNIFTY KNITTERS CLUB TO SHOWCASE THEIR CROCHETED AND KNITTED SPECIALTY ITEMS THAT WILL BE DONATED TO OUR AREA’S VETERANS, WOMEN’S SHELTERS AND ORGANIZATIONS THAT SERVE UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN

 

  1. REPORT FROM SUPERVISOR BELMONT ON DECISIONS MADE FOLLOWING TOWN BOARD MEETING HELD ON SEPTEMBER 6, 2018

 

1.   Conditional appointment of Kevin Fusco to the position of Road Maintainer in the Department of Public Works.

2.   Conditional appointment of Zachary Lucien to the position of Road Maintainer in the Department of Public Works.

3.   Conditional appointment of Mark Mellea to the position of Road Maintainer in the Department of Public Works.

4.   Promotion of Salvatore Lagani from the position of Road Maintainer to the position of MEO in the Department of Public Works.

5.   Promotion of Anthony DiQuinzio from the position of Cleaner to the position of Laborer in the Department of Public Works.

6.   Conditional appointment of Tyler Caruso to the position of Cleaner in the Department of Public Works.

7.   Authorization to raise cap on legal fees in the matter of Related Properties Corp V. Town of Harrison to $25,000.

8.   Authorization to approve an appraisal for 14 Calvert Street in an amount not to exceed $5,000.

9.   Authorization to rescind Town Board Resolution 2018-240 dated June 7, 2018 regarding Private Entity Overtime Inclusion in the calculation of Final Average Salary reported to the New York State Retirement System.

10. Authorization to settle the claim in the matter of Casciano v. Town of Harrison for payment from the Town in the amount of $250,000.

11. Authorization to settle the claim in the matter of Town of Harrison v. Leonard in the amount of $3,750.00.

12. Authorization to settle the claim in the matter of Tomassetti v. Town of Harrison in the amount of $862.60.

13. Authorization to reclassify Richard DiBuono as part-time Parking/Code Enforcement Officer.

14. Selection of Kaeyer, Garment & Davidson Architects, PC for the design of a new recreation center.

1. Public Hearing RE: Verified Petition for Zoning Map Amendment- Soverato, LLC for the premises located at 280 Harrison Avenue, Harrison, New York

 

  1. PERSONNEL           

 

1. Request by Personnel Manager, Debra Scocchera, for approval to appoint Anne Marie Gentile to the Seasonal availability list for the Recreation Department at an hourly rate of $11.00, effective the month of October 2018.

 

2. Letter of Resignation from Patsy DeFonce from his position of Road Maintainer in the Department of Public Works, effective September 21, 2018.

 

E.  ACTIONS AND RESOLUTION

 

Late Items…

1. Request by Kingsley Rooney for authorization to hold a Halloween block party  for the school-age children of the Sunnyridge community on Highfield Road between Crawford and Bates Road and to close the street on Wednesday, October 31st, from 4:30PM to 6:30PM. Insurance will be submitted.

 

2. Notification by Town Engineer, Mike Amodeo, of a Building Permit application for 116-118 Ellsworth Avenue, Block 381, Lot 1.1 located within FEMA designated Flood Plains. Town Code Section 235-32-B states: “All plans for buildings built in flood areas as defined above shall be transmitted to the Town Engineer for recommendations. Such recommendation must be confirmed by a resolution of the Town Board prior to the issuance of a building permit conforming to the recommendations.”

     

      Further Request that the Town Board approve the recommendations of the Town Engineer for development of 116-118 Ellsworth Avenue, Block 381, Lot 1.1, and forward to the Building Department.

 

3. Request by Village Attorney, Jonathan Kraut, to release Performance Bond number SU2257767 in the amount of $68,595.00 dated November 24, 1998, and Surety Bond number SU2257768 in the amount of $5,000.00, dated November 24, 1998.  Further request to accept Site Improvement Bond number 602-118397-8, in the amount of $240,000.00 in connection with the Cascino Subdivision- Site Improvement Project.

4. Request by Supervisor Belmont to refer additions and revisions to the B-Zone Section 235-33.3 to the Planning Board and to calendar the Public Hearing for the October 4, 2018 Town Board Meeting.
