A. REPORT FROM SUPERVISOR DIONISIO ON DECISIONS MADE FOLLOWING TOWN BOARD MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 15, 2023

1. Authorization to hire Ralph LaBarbera, as a Laborer in the General Town and Building Division of the Department of Public Works, effective February 21, 2023 at a Salary of $67,394.00.

2. Authorization to raise cap on Legal Fees to $35,000 in the matter of Safe Drinking Water Act Investigation.

3. Authorization to raise cap on Legal Fees to $35,000 in the matter of 249 Halstead Avenue Condemnation.

E. ACTIONS AND RESOLUTION

1. Request by, Superintendent of Recreation, Gerry Salvo, to approve and execute the Agreement between the South East Consortium and the Town of Harrison in the amount of $21,355.00.

2. Request by, Director of Community Services, to accept the donations for the Harrison Food Pantry:

  • $4,000.00 from the Harrison Association of Teachers (via check)
  • $2,000.00 from an Anonymous Donor (via check)
  • $96.62 from Lauren Leader (via Paypal)
  • $28.64 from Thomas DeBourcy

                 Total:  $6,125.26

3. Request by, Building Inspector, Rocco Germani, on behalf of St. Vincent’s Hospital, for approval of a Special Events Permit for their fundraising 5k run/walk event on Saturday May 13, 2023. Further request for the Harrison Police Department approval of the route and for the Special Events Permit fee to be waived.

4. Request by, Village Attorney, Jonathan D. Kraut, to amend the Contract with Kaeyer, Garment & Davidson Architects, P.C., to reflect the phase construction approach, for the new Recreation Center, dated February 16, 2023. Further request to authorize the Supervisor to execute the proposal and for the Purchasing Department to amend the Purchase Order accordingly.

5. Request by, Village Attorney, Jonathan D. Kraut, with the recommendation of the Building Inspector, Rocco Germani, to retain the services of a Third-Party Consultant to perform code compliance review, in connection with the new recreation center design. The proposal was submitted by JHW Plan Review Services, LLC, dated February 24, 2023. Further Request to authorize the Supervisor to execute the proposal and for the Purchasing Department to issue a Purchase Order to JHW Plan Review Services, LLC. Funding is available in Capital Account 17RE15 New Recreation Center.

6. Request by, Comptroller, Maureen MacKenzie, to approve end of the year budget transfers for 2022:

7. Request by Doreen Grozinger, Chairperson for the Harrison Council for the Arts, for authorization to use the Municipal Building foyer, and the gazebo in Ma Riis Park on March 5, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM for an art exhibit and reception.
